Because we love the Salares we have created this complete visit in the Puna de los Salares Chilenos that you cannot miss !!
We start the experience at night (according to the lunar calendar), we will visit the Village of Tulor, an archeological site that shows the lifestyle of the ancient Lickantatay culture. The local guide will take us to know a little about the interpretation of the stars and the night sky, as well as their importance for the ancestral cultures of the region. After a cocktail sharing with the community, we will return to the hotel.
We leave early in the morning towards the foot of the Licancabur Volcano, the star of the landscape. We visited the Bofedal de Quepiaco, to learn about the importance of its existence in the middle of the Puna. Then we will see rock figures with human forms in the Monks of Pacana.
In the afternoon we will visit the Salar de Tara and the Salar de Pujsa, an incredible landscape that is also surrounded by ash rocks, which thousands of years ago was expelled by the Vilama Volcano. And on the way back to the hotel we can appreciate the beauty of the fauna and flora of the puna.
Lunch is not included, but we highly recommend the restaurant "Senderos de Coyo" which is owned by a local family belonging to Ayllu (indigenous community).
