Relive a bit of the history of the villages of the Atacama Desert, through the archaeological remains found in the area !!
We start the experience at night (according to the lunar calendar), we will visit the Village of Tulor, an archeological site that shows the lifestyle of the ancient Lickantatay culture. The local guide will take us to know a little about the interpretation of the stars and the night sky, as well as their importance for the ancestral cultures of the region. After a cocktail sharing with the community, we will return to the hotel.
The second day we will dedicate it to Archeology, we will visit again the Tulor Village 10km from San Pedro, where a specialized guide will explain a little about the findings made in this region. We continue the trip to Pukara de Quitor, a strategic place from where you can see the entire Valley.
Lunch is not included, but we highly recommend the restaurant "Senderos de Coyo" which is owned by a local family belonging to Ayllu (indigenous community).
After lunch we start the trip to the Rainbow Valley, a place of indescribable beauty, where the landscape is naturally dyed in terracotta, beige and green colors, a true desert rainbow surrounded by surreal rock formations.
We will finish the day's activities ascending to the Domeiko Mountain Range, where we will find the Petroglyphs of Yerba Buena, the largest cave painting reserve in the region !! At the end of the afternoon, we return to our hotel.
