In this Community-based Tourism program, you have the chance to immerse on the Andean cosmovision in the Ayllu de Coyo, through the experiences of the community itself!
We start the experience at night (according to the lunar calendar), we will visit the Village of Tulor, an archeological site that shows the lifestyle of the ancient Lickantatay culture. The local guide will take us to know a little about the interpretation of the stars and the night sky, as well as their importance for the ancestral cultures of the region. After a cocktail sharing with the community, we will return to the hotel.
On the second day we will dedicate it to the Oasis and Salares, we start early in the morning to visit the Los Flamencos National Reserve. We will visit the town of Talabare and the petroglyphs of Kezala. We continue our tour of the town of Toconao to reach the Oasis of Jerez.
Lunch is not included, but we highly recommend the restaurant "Senderos de Coyo" which is owned by a local family belonging to the Ayllu (indigenous community).
After lunch we start the Water Trail, where we will visit the Cejar Lagoon, the Emerald Lagoon (exclusive of the community!), The Ojos del Salar and the Tebenquiche Lagoon. Finally we will relax in the ancestral healing center of Coyo.
